Situated across the road from Buffalo Beach, Whitianga Campground features a variety of accommodation with free onsite parking. Guests enjoy a shared kitchen and dining area, a children’s playground and a BBQ area.
Set between a river and native bush, Whitianga Campground is just a 2-minute drive from Whitianga town centre.
Accommodation options include studios with a kitchenette and self-contained chalets with a fully equipped kitchen. All accommodation includes a TV and seating area. Some accommodation offers a private bathroom.
Whitianga Campgrounds facilities include an internet kiosk, a shared kitchen and a guest laundry. There is a boat parking area and kayaks can be launched directly into the river, which connects to Whitianga Harbour.
Important Information
Please note that, for security purposes, the front gate to the property is locked at 22:00 and unlocked at 07:00 each day.Guests who wish to arrive outside those dates must ring the office and make other arrangements.
Please note reception hours are 09:00 until 20:00.

Please note that for bookings of 3 or more rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
For bookings over the Christmas and New Year's period, 25 December and 31 December, all guests must be over the age of 21 and there is a bond of 1 night's stay.

Please note that pets are strictly not permitted inside the cabins under any circumstances.
Camp showers are $2 for a 3/1/2 minute hot shower
The campground has separate male and female ablution facilities, barbaque and outside dining area as well as a large communal kitchen and TV room
Tokens can be obtained from the office to use the showers

This is 1 queen bed, single bed and fold down sofa bed. The cottage has a private en suite bathroom and a full kitchen with a dishwasher. There is also a flat screen TV and freeview. There are verandahs located off the bedroom and dining room. All units have free parking located immediately outside. All linen is provided.
Two-Bedroom Family Chalet - 8 (with linen) (Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom)
This free-standing cottage has an open-plan kitchen/dining area with a stove, oven and full refrigerator and freezer. There is a flat screen TV with freeview, 2 bedrooms with a queen-size bed and 2 single beds. There is a private bathroom located off the master bedroom, with a shower and toilet. French doors open off the living area onto a sunny patio. All linen is provided.
