Thredbo Overview

Thredbo is widely regarded as among the top ski resorts in Australia, with the country's highest lift-served skiing at 2037m and the largest vertical drop (672m). It's also home to the longest ski run and benefits from comprehensive snow-making. South facing slopes have a good natural snow record.

Skiing

The mountain offers a variety of skiing; with Friday Flat purpose-built for beginners, and a wide range of pistes for Intermediates of all levels. There is less skiing for experts, although that does include some of the best steep skiing in Australia with runs like Cannonball, Funnel Web and Michael's Mistake.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Although off-piste riding is not permitted, Thredbo is popular with snowboarders and there are great runs for carving and a funpark with a half-pipe.
