Mount Hutt rises to an elevation of 2,190 meters and covers an extensive ski area with over 365 hectares of terrain. Notable pistes include the Long Way Home and the Terrain Park, while the main lifts, such as the Summit Six and the Hutt Express, provide easy access to various slopes.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Mount Hutt is Christchurch, 62 minutes drive away.

Timaru and Hokitika airports are all within three hours drive.

Christchurch is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Mount Hutt is accessible via Christchurch International Airport, located approximately 90 minutes away by road. The drive offers scenic views, making it a pleasant journey to the resort.

The four ski lifts are able to uplift 9,200 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

When is Mount Hutt open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is Early June, and usual closing is Early October.
