Orelle gondola bubbles sold for €500 each

All 51 cabins from the old Orelle '3 Vallées Express' lift have been sold in less than a day.

The cabins will be replaced by a new gondola, built by Doppelmayr. The new lift will connect Orelle to the Cime Caron at 3195m in Val Thorens thanks to a second section.

This large-scale project began in 2019, but was delayed due to the global pandemic.

The old cabins were sold for €500 euros and buyers have until May 15 to come and collect and remove their prize.

The new gondola will double the existing capacity from 1250 to 2500 skiers per hour and improve the speed. It will be a single cable gondola starting at the existing base station. The first section will be almost 5km long and ascend 1500m.
