New Courchevel Craft Beer arrives in Les 3 Vallées

New Courchevel Craft Beer arrives in Les 3 Vallées

Published : 05-Aug-2021 07:16

The French ski resort of Courchevel has announced the launch of a new craft beer: 'La Bière de Courchevel', described as a blonde beer "as sweet as the freshly groomed Saulire valley".

The new beer has been created by Léo Delmau, owner of the microbrewery Les Mousses du Dahu.

'La Bière de Courchevel' is made exclusively with spring water drawn from the local mountains. It's this blend, plus a secret combination of organic ingredients, that gives it a light appearance:

« Un brassin doré, immortalisant la rencontre de l'excellence et du savoir-faire. À savourer sur les pistes, en après-ski ou au soleil, en terrasse, été comme hiver.»

Roughly translated as: "A golden brew, immortalizing the meeting of excellence and know-how. To be savoured on the slopes, in après-ski, in the sun, on the terrace, summer and winter "

Léo Delmau is a ski instructor and a former hockey player from the area, who was introduced to a Chilean brewer while on holiday in South America. He enrolled at the Institut de la Bière in Nancy and set up Les Mousses du Dahu in 2019. He is based in Villard du Planay, near to Bozel at the foot of the Courchevel valley.

The new beer is available on an exclusive and limited local distribution at their own Brasserie, at Farto – a local products store in Courchevel Moriond – and at the Courchevel Le Praz farmers market.
