Host of The Ski Podcast to ski all UK indoor snow centres in single day

Published : 22-May-2025 08:23

Iain Martin, host of The Ski Podcast, is challenging himself to ski all five of the UK's indoor snow centres in a single day to raise funds for Snow Camp.

On Friday 30 May, Iain will travel to Tamworth Snowdome, Chill Factore in Manchester, Snozone Yorkshire, Snozone Milton Keynes and The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

His plan is to ski a minimum of 10 runs at each location. Each venue has generously offered Iain free slope access and equipment hire.

He is taking on this challenge to raise funds for the snowsports youth charity Snow Camp. Since 2003, they have been turning young lives around with the power of snowsports.

Using a unique combination of skiing, snowboarding, life-skills, qualifications and vocational opportunities, Snow Camp has helped over 20,000 young people from under-served communities - setting them up for brighter futures in the snowsports industry and beyond.

Iain's '25 in 25' target is to raise enough funds to give 25 inner-city young people the chance to experience snowsports in 2025 on Snow Camp's beginner programme this summer.

During the day Iain will cover almost 500 miles around the UK. To add another level to the challenge, and to minimise carbon emissions for the trip, he will be travelling in an electric car, so will also have to plan recharging stops along the way.

Iain Martin, host of The Ski Podcast, said:

"Snow Camp gives young people the opportunity to be inspired and empowers them to go onto destinations in the industry and beyond. I couldn't be prouder to be supporting their life-changing work."

Dan Keeley, Community and Events Director at Snow Camp said:
"We're hugely grateful for all your support in helping Snow Camp to break down barriers and broaden horizons for young people who need the positive opportunities the most."

"We all appreciate the power of the snowsports and the mountains to change lives for the better. For the young people we support, the impact is ten-fold."
