This 3-star hotel with a hospitality tradition since 100 years offers a scenic location in the Ortenau countryside and a traditional distillery. Free WiFi is provided in some hotel rooms.
The family-run Hotel Gasthof Engel is surrounded by vineyards in the wine-growing village of Nesselried, 2 km from Appenweier. Guests are welcome to try fine Baden wines and homemade brandy here.
All of the non-smoking rooms and suites at the Engel include satellite TV and a bright design. The hallways and stairs were renovated in 2012.
In the evenings, popular Baden dishes are served in the Engel's restaurant or on the garden terrace. The restaurant was renovated in 2012.
The Hotel Gasthof Engel also has a children’s playground.
The historic Staufenberg Castle is a 45-minute hike away. The French city of Strasbourg is only a 30-minute drive away from the Engel.
