Located only a 5-minute walk from Lake Toya, Hokkai Hotel offers an outdoor and an indoor hot-spring bath, a rooftop orchid greenhouse and free WiFi at the lobby. It houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Free parking is available.

Japanese-style rooms are decorated with Japanese ornaments, and feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor and a low table with seating cushions. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding, and a coffee table and chairs are set by a floor-to-ceiling window. Facilities include a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a private bathroom.

Guests at the Hokkai can relax in an outdoor or indoor public hot-spring bath, which are separate by gender. The hotel offers laundry service and room service.

Hotel Hokkai specializes in seafood dishes and local vegetables. Dinner and a breakfast meal or buffet are served at the dining room, which features Japanese as well as Western seating.
