Bazna lies in a part of Romania that was inhabited by Germans, and there are still many old churches built in their style; it is only 50 km from the city of Sibiu, which was a German settlement and the cultural capital of Europe in 2007.
Pension Bassen serves traditional local beverages along with a wide range of modern drinks to its guests. The various outdoor activities include archery, biking, survival training for small groups, camp fires and others.
For those interested in history, approximately 30 km away you can visit Sighişoara, one of the few fortified towns in Eastern Europe still inhabited today.
