The Scottish ski resort of Glenshee is at an altitude of 650m, with 40km of marked runs.


Glenshee is one of the larger Ski Resorts in Scotland and has direct access to 40km of downhill skiing, with 36 marked pistes, served by a total of 21 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.


There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.


Glenshee offers some good boarding and there is a Snow Park in Glenshee.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Glenshee is Edinburgh, 96 minutes drive away.

Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen and Prestwick airports are all within three hours drive.

The 21 ski lifts are able to uplift 18,509 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 20km of ski runs, with 6 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Glenshee open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November (Fully weather dependent - sometimes opens in November), and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Glenshee, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
