The Spanish ski resort of Candanchú is in the Spanish Pyrenees at an altitude of 1,560m.


Candanchú has direct access to 51 marked pistes, served by a total of 23 ski lifts.

The ski resort itself is at 1,560m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,400m, snow cover is generally reliable.


There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.


Candanchú offers some good boarding and there is a Snow Park in Candanchú.

This ski resort is in the Spanish Pyrenees in La Jacetania, Huesca.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Candanchú is Huesca, 105 minutes drive away.

Pau, Pamplona, Lourdes, Zaragoza and Biarritz airports are all within three hours drive.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 23 ski lifts are able to uplift 22,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 7km of ski runs, with 112 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Candanchú open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Candanchú, but they are likely to include most of the following :-

  • Face masks required on lifts, and in shops.
  • Social distancing in public areas.
  • Reduced lift capacity.
