Switzerland Offers Another 12,000 Free Lift Passes for Children

Published : 05-Sep-2019 12:33

After the success of last year's initial ballot, Switzerland's Kids4free programme will be back online in next month, the Swiss National Tourist Office in London says, with the chance for anyone to win one of 12,000 one week ski passes that are being given away to children up to and including 12 years of age. You just have to complete an online application to be in the ballot.

The passes are valid for many different (but not all) Swiss ski regions and if your child wins one, they're valid on any week of the season, for six consecutive days, with no blackout periods.

Among the areas giving away the most passes Adelboden is offering 650; Andermatt, Arosa, Davos Klosters, St Moritz, the Jungfrau and Zermatt regions all 600 each; and the Alpes Vaudoises (Leysin, Villars, Les Diablerets) and Gstaad regions as well as Saas Fee all 480 each.

The 4 Valleys don't appear to be taking part.

"The Kids4free project aims to help children experience the fun of winter sports and safeguard its future in the mountains by attracting new international and domestic guests," said a Swiss tourist office spokesperson.

The 2019-20 competition will be online from October 2019 via:
