Andermatt

One of Switzerland's oldest and most picturesque villages - surrounded by mountains, now renewed with brand new luxury hotels, modern lifts (including a connection to Sedrun) and high quality restaurants and bars. Served by regular direct trains into the heart of the resort.

Summary

The Swiss ski resort of Andermatt is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,440m, with 101km of marked runs.

Andermatt is part of the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun area with access to 120km of downhill skiing, with 65 marked pistes, served by a total of 22 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Andermatt itself (101km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun ski resorts of Disentis Sedrun and Realp. Andermatt is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Sedrun.

With ski lifts as high as 2,960m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Andermatt is highly rated by Snowboarders and there is a Snow Park in Andermatt.

The longest possible descent in Andermatt is 5km long and the most difficult run is the 'Gletscher Abfahrt'.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Andermatt is Lugano, 75 minutes drive away.

Zurich, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Milan Malpensa, Sion, Berne, Milan Linate, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Bergamo airports are all within three hours drive.

The 17 ski lifts are able to uplift 4,100 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Season Dates

When is Andermatt open?

 Open from : 18 December 2021.

 Closes : 18 April 2022.

Usual opening is mid November (weekends from mid-Nov then full time in December), and usual closing is Early May ( ).

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
