Iglu Ski Raises £700 for Disability Snowsport UK in Triathlon Success

Published : 18-Aug-2026 16:09

Last weekend, a team from Iglu Ski took part in the 10th Superheroes Triathlon to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK).

The team raised in excess of £700, which will enable 15 disabled adults or children to learn to ski at an indoor slope in the UK, bringing life-changing confidence, freedom and fun.

The Iglu Team, comprising Iglu Ski MD Simon McIntyre, along with his family and Jeanette Chippington OBE - one of Team GB's most successful ever Paralympians - took part in the Superhero Triathlon at Eton Dorney lake, all dressed in superhero costumes.

Simon McIntyre said: "It's such a privilege to raise money for adaptive skiing and snowboarding. I hope we can do it all again next year."

Fundraising Officer at Disability Snowsport UK, Fay Strathmerren said, 'The money you've raised will help Disability Snowsport UK continue creating opportunities for disabled children and adults to experience the freedom, confidence and community that adaptive skiing and snowboarding can bring."
