New Lift & Easy Routes At Les Arcs for 26-27

Les Arcs has announced its lift and piste upgrades for the coming season.
The headline change is the retirement of the iconic Lonzagne lift, fondly known as the "red yoghurt pots", which has completed its final circuit after decades of service. In its place comes a sleek new 10‑person gondola linking Peisey‑Nancroix with Plan Peisey. The modern cabin system carries up to 900 people per hour and cuts the journey to just 3 minutes 20 seconds, dramatically improving flow across this key connection point in the Paradiski area.
Beginners and cautious skiers will also benefit from the resort's new 'Easy Ski Routes', designed to guide guests back to the villages via quieter, more forgiving pistes. These dedicated routes aim to reduce congestion, improve safety and create a calmer, more enjoyable experience for those still finding their feet on snow, a resorts spokesperson explained.
Families with younger children will find something new too. The much‑loved Les Pitchouns fun run in Peisey‑Vallandry has been completely redesigned with a forest theme, magical scenery and hidden characters. The refreshed trail adds playful surprises throughout, making it an engaging adventure for younger skiers and a gentle, confidence‑boosting descent for beginners.
Les Arcs is highlighting that it's linked to one of the world's largest ski regions with 425km of terrain across Paradiski, that 70% of its slopes are above 2,000m and that its arguably the easiest resort to reach by rail access from the UK, with trains from St Pancras, a platform change at Lille, then continuing to Bourg St Maurice, where the station is linked by funicular to Arc 1600.
