Summary

Rußbach is part of the Dachstein West ski area with access to 299km of downhill skiing, with 97 marked pistes, served by a total of 81 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Rußbach itself (65km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg im Lammertal, Gosau, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein and Obertraun/Dachstein.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Rußbach is Salzburg, 50 minutes drive away.

Vienna, Brno, Bratislava, Ljubljana and Munich airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg and Vienna are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
