 Summary

Silvretta Montafon combines extensive piste mileage with a mountain backdrop typical of the Austrian Alps. The resort is centred on the Montafon valley communities and operates a network of lifts that link high and mid‑altitude terrain.

Terrain ranges from gentle nursery slopes and long cruisers to steeper itineraries and marked freeride lines off the pistes. Family facilities, ski schools and on‑mountain mountain restaurants are part of the resort offering; neighbouring Montafon sectors provide extra variety.

The ski area of Silvretta Montafon comprises the ski slopes of 6 ski areas, including Silbertal, St Gallenkirch and Tschagguns.

The ski area includes 6 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 141km of downhill skiing, with 44 marked pistes, served by a total of 59 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Gargellen, Gaschurn, Schruns, Silbertal, St Gallenkirch and Tschagguns.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Silvretta Montafon is St. Gallen-Altenrhein, 63 minutes drive away.

Friedrichshafen, Memmingen, Innsbruck Airport, Zurich, Lugano, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Munich, Basel and Stuttgart airports are all within three hours drive.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

The easiest major airports for Silvretta Montafon are Zurich, Innsbruck and Munich. From any of those airports you can drive via the A14 (from Austria) or A3/A13 (from Switzerland) toward Bludenz and follow local roads into the Montafon valley. Rail to Bludenz and onward regional buses or a short taxi complete the transfer to Schruns/Tschagguns or St. Gallenkirch.
