A year round Savoyard resort in the Maurienne Valley, 7km from Modane and near to the Vanoise National Park.


The French ski resort of Aussois is in the French Alps at an altitude of 1,500m, with 50km of marked runs.

Aussois has direct access to 50km of downhill skiing, with 21 marked pistes, served by a total of 11 ski lifts.

With ski lifts as high as 2,750m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.


Aussois offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.


Aussois offers some good boarding and there is a Snow Park in Aussois.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Aussois is Chambery, 70 minutes drive away.

Grenoble, Turin Caselle, Annecy, Lyon Bron, Lyon St-Exupéry, Geneva, Turin Cuneo, Genoa and Milan Malpensa airports are all within three hours drive.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 9,160 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 23km of ski runs, with 104 snow cannons.

When is Aussois open?

 Opened : 12 December 2020.

 Closed : 15 April 2021.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.
