Lac Blanc

A mid-sized Alpine skiing centre, but by far the biggest cross-country ski destination in the Vosges, the most northerly mountain range in France. Renowned for it's remarkably good snow conditions however.


The French ski resort of Lac Blanc is at an altitude of 830m, with 14km of marked runs.

Lac Blanc has direct access to 14km of downhill skiing, with 14 marked pistes, served by a total of 11 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.


There is skiing to suit a range of abilities.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Lac Blanc is Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, 109 minutes drive away.

Toulouse, Basel, Strasbourg, Metz, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Carcassonne, Béziers, Montpellier and Mannheim airports are all within three hours drive.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 6,700 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 5km of ski runs, with 64 snow cannons.
