Feldberg

Popular Black Forest ski centre, generally regarded as the best German ski area outside the Alps. The country's first ski club, the Feldberger Hof, was established here in November 1891. World Cup Giant Slalom races have taken place on the challenging Fahler Loch.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Feldberg is Basel, 60 minutes drive away.

Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Strasbourg, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Friedrichshafen, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Berne, Stuttgart and Mannheim airports are all within three hours drive.

Basel is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

The 26 ski lifts are able to uplift 24,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Season Dates

When is Feldberg open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December (May open weekends from mid-November subject to snow conditions.), and usual closing is Early April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

COVID-19 / Coronavirus

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Feldberg, but they are likely to include most of the following :-

  • Face masks required on lifts, and in shops.
  • Social distancing in public areas.
  • Reduced lift capacity.
  • Extensive disinfection / sanitization.
