The picturesque and usually peaceful village of Gryon is linked in to the skiing at Villars which in turn is linked with the glacier of Les Diablerets via a black run.


The Swiss ski resort of Gryon is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,200m, with 60km of marked runs.

Gryon has direct access to 60km of downhill skiing, with 52 marked pistes, served by a total of 27 ski lifts.

With ski lifts as high as 2,020m, snow cover is generally reliable.


Gryon offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.


Gryon is highly rated by Snowboarders and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks in Gryon.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Gryon is Sion, 50 minutes drive away.

Geneva, Berne, Annecy, Basel, Chambery, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich and Dole–Jura airports are all within three hours drive.

Sion is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 27 ski lifts are able to uplift 16,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 4km of ski runs, with 10 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Gryon open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Gryon, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
